With almost two decades of experience in the prototyping, design and production of standard and custom composite products, Composite Resources continues to meet or exceed the different critical specifications for a countless number of industries. From this extensive experience in the engineering, development and production of composite components, assemblies, and projects, Composite Resources has developed a number of stock composite products, including the GraviGate™ Safety Closure System, QuickCheck™ Template, and the Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®).

Developed in the late 1990s, GraviGate™ safety gates, featuring a frame constructed of composite tubing that requires no maintenance and self-lubricating stainless steel hinges, are intended for maximum safety protection at exit ladders, open stairwells, or any platform openings requiring a protective gate to prevent worker fall-related injuries. Painted in bright yellow and OSHA Standard 1910.23a Compliant, GraviGate™ safety gates have accessories such as u-bolt round rail adapters, flat mount plates and stainless steel catch stop plates for easy and quick installation. The QuickCheck™ Template is a laser cut in process and final inspection printed circuit board template, manufactured from an electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe plastic acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) material for use on the production line. To produce QuickCheck™ templates, Composite Resources accepts electronically transmitted design files through a secure online order system. The files are then translated into Corel Draw and GC Place form prior to the final laser cut. The custom laser cutting of QuickCheck™ templates reflects the exact printed circuit board component geometry and footprint; the templates are also etched with the printed circuit board part number and job ID. Another stock composite product exclusively licensed and manufactured by Composite Resources is the Combat-Application-Tourniquet®, or C-A-T®. The Combat-Application-Tourniquet® is a small, lightweight tourniquet that completely blocks and cuts off the arterial blood flow in an extremity, such as an arm or leg. The C-A-T® features a windlass strap, a self-adhering band, a Windlass Rod™ and the Windlass Clip™. Using the self-adhering band and a friction adaptor buckle, the C-A-T® fits a wide range (and size) of body extremities, combined with the one-handed windlass system. The windlass features a free moving internal band that provides circumferential pressure to the extremity. The windlass can be locked into place with only one hand with the Windlass Clip™. For additional securing of the windlass during patient transport, the C-A-T® also has a hook-and-loop fastener Windlass Strap™. The Combat-Application-Tourniquet® is military tested and approved and is the first choice of the United States Army, the U.S. Army Surgeon General, and the Army Institute of Surgical Research (ISR). Other recognition for the C-A-T® includes being awarded one of the "Top 10 Greatest Inventions by the U.S. Army in 2005, and being named the best pre-hospital tourniquet in The Journal of Trauma, February 2008 Supplement. The C-A-T® is also tested, approved and recommended by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) for law enforcement officers and tactical medics. The Combat-Application-Tourniquet® is available in tactical black, rescue orange and trainer blue.
While the C-A-T® has been issued to over four million armed forces personnel since 2004 because of its proven effectiveness, lightweight (59 grams) and compact design and size (6 inches in length when folded), the Combat-Application-Tourniquet® is also widely used by emergency medical service (EMS) teams and medics, police first responders, and firefighters. From the battlefield to traffic accidents, trauma scenes, and for fire victims, the C-A-T® has revolutionized how extremity injuries are handled in the field and at the incident scene.
