As one of our standard composite products, Composite Resources has developed the Black Project™ composite line.  This includes a line of high tensile strenght composite carbon fiber solid rods.  These are available in standard and custom sizes, depending on your application. Compared to conventional structural metals (such as steel, aluminum and stainless steel), Black Project™ composite carbon fiber solid rods deliver excellent tensile strength characteristics.  It is produced using high strength carbon fibers that are embedded in a binding epoxy matrix. Black Project™ composite rod is a solid pultruded carbon fiber rod that is perfect for use in miniature applications and tight spaces. Besides exhibiting outstanding strength, our composite carbon fiber rod is durable, lightweight and extremely rigid.

As noted above, composite carbon fiber rod is sold in 8-foot (96 inch) lengths, but can be custom cut at our facility to your specific length at a minimal charge. In addition, Composite Resources can provide our customers with longer carbon fiber rod lengths on orders of 500 feet or more of one size. Custom sizes (in terms of outer diameter) are also available, for an additional charge in initial tooling investment. However, rest assured that we have the ability, in terms of knowledge, experience and capacity, to develop and build the custom tooling necessary in-house – unlike other companies, that have to farm out (and wait!) for the required tooling to be built.
