One composite product that Composite Resources excels at is the production of a wide range of stock composite carbon fiber tubes. The Black Project™ line of composite tube is economically roll-wrapped with 12K 2×2 twill carbon fiber fabric providing strength and stability. The high tensile strenght composite carbon fiber tubes feature machine rolled, tape wrapped outer diameter (OD) finish; this exterior finish has the added benefit of being easily handled and gripped. Black Project™ composite tubes are half the weight of comparably-sized aluminum tubes; other advantages include outstanding thermal resistance, superb tensile strength in addition to being lightweight. This is accomplished using a manufacturing process featuring high strength carbon fiber combined with a binding epoxy matrix.

Custom composite tube sizes as small as 1/2 of an inch ID up to 15 to 20 inches ID are available, with a nominal tooling charge if applicable. Outer diameters can be centerless ground to a precise tolerance of +/- 0.002 inch if required. Our fully equipped machine shop can machine holes, slots and 5-axis features on the carbon fiber tubes to customize your design. Custom finishes including clear coat, gel coat and paint finishes are also offered.
