Composite Resources News
Highly Durable and impact resistant Kevlar® protects state-of-the-art ultra-wideband, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) arrays that are used in the detection of unexploded mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Challenge – Protect expensive, advanced ground penetrating radar arrays from damage due to unexpected explosion of underground mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Solution – Composite Resources manufactures a lightweight para-aramid Kevlar® shell with additional coating designed to protect the sensitive advanced radar arrays.
Result – As more and more of these advanced underground mine and IED detection systems are deployed around the world to protect military and civilian lives, the shell that Composite Resources produces helps protect the radar arrays and therefore saves U.S. taxpayers money. Instead of having to replace these high-tech radar arrays due to explosion damage a relatively inexpensive shell can be replaced instead.
