Composite Resources News
Challenge - CORE autosport needed a precision alignment system for accurate suspension and wheel alignment of their race cars. Existing technologies did not meet CORE’s expectations for precision. They needed a tool that would allow them to setup alignment of each car consistently and possibly give them a small advantage over their competitors.
Solution - CORE autosport worked with engineers at Composite Resources to develop an alignment framework that would attach to their race cars when in the garage. The alignment tool would allow the engineers and technicians to eliminate as many variables as possible and allow precision alignment.
Result - Constructed out of carbon fiber and machined aluminum, the system designed and built by Composite Resources attaches to the race cars including custom parts that fit on the wheel hubs to eliminate any error associated with wheels/tires. The system allows the team to set caster, camber, toe in, toe out and all of the required suspension adjustments with fewer variables that may result in miniscule errors. The alignment system was designed to be packed up into a small space and fit into the team’s transporter.
